His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio has today Tuesday, 15th May called on his ministers to face the challenges ahead of them. He made this statement while speaking during an induction forum organized for government ministers at State House in Freetown.
President Bio said that in as much as his government is inheriting one of the worse economic situations since independence, the expectations on his government from the people are enormous stating that he cannot afford to fail the people of this country. He disclosed that the task ahead will be difficult but with collective efforts from everyone, the country will rise again.
His Excellency mentioned that choosing the ministers was a difficult task but said that he has confidence in them that they are capable enough to deliver the change he had preached throughout his campaign. As agents of change, President Bio called on the ministers to conduct themselves professionally in delivering the nation from its present state.
President Bio also said that to deliver on his government’s promises, there must be collective efforts on the part of ministers in transforming his policies into actions adding that one way in doing so is by being disciplined in the management of money and time. He ended up by calling on his ministers to put the interest of the country in the discharge of their various duties.
Also in attendance included the Honourable Vice President Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh and Secretary to Cabinet Dr Julius Sandi.
