President Bio To Attend Ecowas/eccas Summit In Lome

His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio will depart Lungi International Airport today, Sunday 29th July 2018, to attend the Joint ECOWAS/ECCAS Summit and the 53rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS. The Joint Summit will be held in Lome, Togo from the 30th – 31st July 2018.

The Joint Summit has been convened to discuss the security situation and adopt a Declaration which will define a common platform on peace, security, radicalization and violent extremism in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS).

His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio will make a statement on the challenges of Peace, Security, Stability and the fight against Terrorism affecting the two regions. During his statement, President Bio is expected to warn that the two regions should address the conditions conducive to the spread of terrorism.
