The Office of the Press Secretary is the principal communications arm of the Presidency, tasked with managing and coordinating all public information related to the President and the Executive Office. It plays a vital role in shaping the national narrative, promoting government priorities, and ensuring the timely, accurate, and strategic dissemination of information to both domestic and international audiences. The Office operates under the direct authority of the President and works in close coordination with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), as well as development partners and the media.

As a senior communications advisor, the Press Secretary leads strategic messaging and public relations, ensuring coherence, transparency, and accountability in government communication

Under the leadership of the current Press Secretary, the Office is guided by the principles of professionalism, responsiveness, and strategic storytelling. It seeks to enhance the image of the Presidency while ensuring that public communication is people-centered, inclusive, and transparent.

The Office also supports the strategic communication components of the President’s Big Five Game Changers and works closely with the Ministry of Information and Civic Education, the Strategic Communications Unit, and public broadcasting entities to unify messaging and amplify impact.
