Office of the President
The Office of the President is the highest executive authority in the Republic of Sierra Leone, constitutionally mandated to lead the nation and serve as the symbol of national unity, stability, and sovereignty. Headquartered at State House in Freetown, the Office supports the President in fulfilling his constitutional duties as Head of State, Head of Government, and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
Through a dedicated team of advisors, ministers, and technical staff, the Office coordinates and oversees the implementation of national policies, development priorities, and international engagements. It ensures effective governance, safeguards national interests, and facilitates collaboration among ministries, departments, and agencies.
The Office of the President also provides strategic direction on matters of national security, economic transformation, public service delivery, diplomatic relations, and the promotion of democratic governance. It houses critical units including the Chief Minister’s Office, the Presidential Press Secretariat, Strategic Communications, the Legal and Governance Affairs Unit, and the Office of the First Lady.
In line with the government’s development agenda and commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive growth, the Office of the President remains steadfast in its service to the people of Sierra Leone.
