President Koroma Wants New Houses for Ordinary Citizens for 50th Independence Anniversary
6-4President Ernest Bai Koroma yesterday 3rd March 2010 called on the Sierra Leone Institute of Architects, the Institute of Engineers, and local contractors to take up the challenge of using local materials to build affordable houses for people in our towns and villages.

President Koroma Buoys Up Fisheries and Marine Resources Ministry
President Ernest Bai Koroma yesterday 04 March 2010 demonstrated great interest in the activities and operations of the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources (MFMR), saying that "Government places high priority on this sector as a growth sector with a huge potential for contribution to food security, employment and fiscal returns."
Speaking to national stakeholders of the sector, particularly fishing operators and agents, fishermen and fisherwomen, at a special ceremony at State House with regards its importance to the Agenda for Change and the need for compliance to the Ministry's laws, President Koroma said this was a follow-up meeting to the one he had held with officials and staff of the Ministry in August 2009, as "it is my duty as Head of State and Government to ensure proper governance of the sector."
Gbamanja Commission of Enquiry Presents Report to President Koroma
The Gbamanja Commission of Enquiry yesterday presented its report to President Ernest Bai Koroma at State House. Introducing the Commission to the President, Education Minister Minkailu Bah recalled that it was set up to look into the poor performance of students in the 2008 BECE and WASSCE examinations, with clear terms of reference and to ascertain the impact of the 6-3-3-4 system on educational output generally.

President Koroma Inspects Medical Stores
6-1President Ernest Bai Koroma, in keeping with his promise to inspect all medical stores across the country before April 27th 2010 (the date that government has set for the abolition of user fees in all hospitals/health centres for children, pregnant women and lactating mothers across Sierra Leone), yesterday 8th June 2010 made his first inspection at the Medical Stores at New England in Freetown.
