Sierra Leone Ambassador to United Arab Emirates Bids Farewell to President Julius Maada Bio at State House in Freetown

State House, Freetown, Tuesday 30 October 2018 – Sierra Leone’s new Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Rashid Sesay, has called at State House today to bid farewell to His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio.

Ambassador Sesay said having finalised all necessary arrangements, it was a pleasure taking leave of the President. He stated that he was aware of what the new administration stood for and was ready to deliver on them, while assuring that he would do his best to support the success of the New Direction.

“Your Excellency, on behalf of myself and my family, I want to pledge once again my loyalty to you and the people of Sierra Leone. I will devote my time and energy to make sure that I work in the interest of the New Direction. I believe that with concerted efforts from everyone, we will achieve a lot within the next few years. You can count on me always that I would deliver on your promises,” he said.

On his part, President Bio congratulated Ambassador Sesay on his new role. He said he was confident that the new Ambassador was up to the task, the reason he chose to appoint him to the role. He added: “We will do everything to support you to make sure that you succeed. We hope that within your competence you will be able to give us the best and bring us the goodies. I wish you all the best of luck.”
