ECOWAS GIVES US$2M TO FIVE PROJECTS IN THE AGENDA FOR CHANGE

A high-level delegation of ECOWAS, Chinese engineers and local bank officials from ECOBANK and Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, led by the Vice President of ECOWAS, Jean De-Dieu Sonda, yesterday 21st April 2010 visited President Ernest Bai Koroma at State Lodge to assure him of their full support in the implementation and financing of five priority projects of government in line with the President's Agenda For Change.

President Koroma Tenders Report Card in USA

On the sidelines of attending the UN General Assembly in New York, President Ernest Bai Koroma has, as a priority, performed his first major activity by attending a town-hall meeting organised by Sierra Leoneans in the USA at the College of Staten Island in New York to tender a report card of his two-year-old administration followed by a question-and-answer session.

President Koroma Swears in Riots Commission on Birthday

President Ernest Bai Koroma has today 2nd October 2009–his birthday–sworn in the Independent Review Commission set up to review and determine the circumstances as well as establish the facts relating to (i) incidents of political violence and intolerance that occurred during the month of March 2009 in Gendema (Pujehun District), Freetown (Western Urban) and Kenema (Kenema District), and relating to the roles and responsibilities of political parties, law enforcement agencies or any other persons or groups with regards the afore-mentioned incidents of political violence and intolerance.
