16 Paramount Chiefs take leave of President Koroma

images/pics/	pcs 1.jpgA total of sixteen (16) Paramount Chiefs yesterday 18 July 2017 took leave of President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma to attend the Ahmaddiyya annual Jalsa Salana conference in the United Kingdom. 

The 16 Paramount Chiefs, according to Vice President Dr Victor Bockarie Foh who led the delegation, will be leaving the shores of Sierra Leone on the 23rd and 27th July for the UK to witness the conference scheduled to hold on the 28 to 30 July 2017. He said the paramount chiefs were drawn from the four regions of Sierra Leone including 3 from the east, 4 from the south and 9 from the north and western area. 


Receiving the delegation, President Koroma thanked the head of Ahmaddiyya Mission in Sierra Leone, Amir Saud-u-Rahman, for organizing people across the country to witness the Jalsa Salana in the UK over the years. He commended the Mission for not only promoting education in Sierra Leone but for also preaching peace across the globe. He urged the chiefs to continue to pray for peace and stability in the country as elections approach.

Amir Saud-u-Rahman thanked the president for being exceptionally religious tolerant. As a missionary who has spent considerable period in the country, he along with the chiefs recognized with profound thanks the unprecedented progress made so far in road infrastructure, energy supply, communication network among others. He prayed for sustainability of such remarkable gains the country has made under the stewardship of President Koroma.
